Emerson Bar-Zeev started training at 6 years old at Ananda Martial Arts in 2016, and is the second Mighty Tiger to earn a Black Belt. Emerson studies both Taekwondo and Hapkido, and has attended several AMAFA training camps, seminars and tournaments. Assistant Instructor Bar-Zeev earned a Taekwondo 1st Degree Black Belt in December 2025.

 

Emerson studies at Head-Royce School in Oakland, and has a strong interest in STEM, particularly the design and engineering of buildings and robots. He enjoys learning new skills in graphic design, coding, and model building. Some of Emerson’s favorite healthy snacks are blackberries, pineapple, and simple ranch dressing salads.

 

Assistant Instructor Emerson says that one trait he has developed while being part of AMAFA is Discipline, “to stay engaged, reach my goals, and progress in every area of my life.”
